Session 1: AI, Research, and Publishing: Uses and Application of AI Outside the Classroom

Special Guest Panelist: Raymond Abruzzi, Senior Director, AI Strategy and Product Management; Wiley

Ray Abruzzi joined Wiley in 2017, and has spent his entire career in publishing, working in editorial and product management roles across trade, legal, reference, database, digital archive, and journal publication formats. As the Senior Director for AI Product Management, Ray is responsible for developing AI-led products serving the emerging needs of researchers, educators, students, and professionals, and is also responsible for the management of content licensing partnerships for Wiley in the AI application space.

Session 2A: Accessibility and Inclusion: What Every Faculty Member Needs to Know

Join us to learn more about the Office of Student Services and how they can support your students with accommodations. Missy Long will be guest presenting and discuss the assistive technology we have at Ramapo, what accommodations the OSS serves, and how to talk to your students with accommodations. This is a very important topic and one that will be sure to empower your role in making Ramapo College an accessible learning environment.


Session 2B: Faculty Wellness on Campus: Cultivating a Healthy and Balanced Lifestyle (Wellness Walking Tour)
FRC Workshop – co-sponsored by POER
2:00pm-3:00pm, Room LC 202

Participants will have the opportunity to engage in interactive activities, ask questions, and gain practical knowledge on how to incorporate wellness practices into daily life. Led by Jill Brown, the workshop aims to create a supportive and inclusive environment for faculty members to prioritize their well-being and foster a healthy campus community. The workshop includes a tour of the Bradley Center and sample walking tour of campus.


Session 3: Culinary Demonstration and Tasting Menu
3:00pm-4:30pm, Birch Tree Dining Hall in the Student Center

Meet at the entrance to Birch Tree for a cooking demonstration with tastings by one of the professional chefs on the Sodexo culinary team. Recipes will be made available for hand-out. While some of the elements will be prepared in advance, the chef will provide a demo for each dish, followed by tasting plates for the attendees. 

Note: Space is limited for this event. Attendees must pre-register to receive a voucher to hand in at the entrance of Birch Tree. Pre-register early in order to get your spot.

Menu: Cranberry harvest chicken breast, spaetzle with sage butter sauce, and roasted Brussel sprouts
