With the emergence of generative AI in everyday life, it is important to start the semester with a conversation with students about AI, when it is permissible, and what counts as academic misconduct. This workshop provides resources and strategies for getting the conversation started.
This workshop is focused on two different approaches to handling AI in the classroom: 1) AI-resistant assignments that diminish the effectiveness of AI, and 2) AI-assisted assignments that harness the power of AI. This workshop covers both methods and introduces new assignment models updated for the age of AI.
AI has been a hot topic for the last year or two, and we want to make sure you feel empowered to collaborate with it in your classroom. We’ve designed a self-paced online course that walks you through the basics and showcases work submitted by Ramapo faculty. We will review the course and discuss how to integrate AI tools into your classroom.
