Catalyst Foundation

April 15, 2016 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

[Friends Hall] Catalyst Foundation has had over 16 years of success and struggle in the poorest villages of Vietnam. Their mission, to build communities to fight human trafficking, develops and empowers marginalized communities through education, housing, job training, healthcare, and social services. Caroline Nguyen Ticarro will discuss her multi-pronged approach for restoring dignity to ethnic minorities. Working together with key stakeholders (the children, parents, hamlet leaders, caretakers, social workers, and teachers), she and her staff strive to provide communities with basic needs; to recognize and protect individual rights; and to respect their cultural heritage. She will share the personal stories of those families as they begin to realize that the poverty discrimination and dehumanization can change to hope and a future for their children.
