Thomas J. Shara, President and CEO, Lakeland Bancorp and Lakeland Bank

Mr. Shara is president and CEO of Lakeland Bancorp, Inc. and Lakeland Bank.  Prior to joining Lakeland, Mr. Shara served as president and chief lending officer of TD Banknorth’s (now TD Bank) Mid-Atlantic division.  Prior to TD Banknorth acquiring Hudson United Bank, Mr. Shara was executive vice president and senior loan officer of HUBCO.   He serves on the board of trustees of the Boys and Girls Club of Paterson and Passaic, the Chilton Medical Center Foundation as well as the board of directors of the Commerce and Industry Association of N.J.   Mr. Shara is also a board member of the New Jersey Bankers Association.  He was honored as a Distinguished Citizen in 2012.  He earned a B.S. and M.B.A. from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Mr. Shara has served as a member of the Ramapo College Foundation board since 2006.
