How many credits is the MSAM/MSCS/MSDS program?

30 credits

How long does the MSAM/MSCS/MSDS program take to complete?

The MSDS program takes 1.5 – 2 years to complete, full time.

Can I attend part time?

Yes, students can enroll in the program part time.

Can International students apply to the MSDS program?

MSAM/MSCS/MSDS has received approval to accept international students on an F-1 visa category from the Department of Homeland Security. In addition, F-1 nonimmigrant students graduating with an MS in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or Data Science are eligible for the DHS’s STEM OPT program. What is the class delivery format?

MSAM/MSCS/MSDS classes are delivered as a combination of online, hybrid, and evening in-seat format.

When are MSAM/MSCS/MSDS classes offered?

MSAM/MSCS/MSDS classes are held on weeknight evenings to accommodate the schedules of working professionals.

Do I need to have a Computer Science or Informational Technology background to apply to MSDS?

No, however students who do not have previous coursework in computer programming, statistics, and linear algebra may be recommended to complete transitional coursework prior to enrollment.  Applicants will be advised of this recommendation after their applications have been reviewed, and should not hesitate to apply if they do not yet meet the previous coursework requirements.

What is the minimum GPA required?

The minimum GPA required is a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Are GRE or GMAT scores required?

No, Applications are evaluated based on work experience, undergraduate GPA, and recommendation letters.

How much is the MSAM/MSCS/MSDS?

Is there graduate financial aid available?
