The MSDS program takes 1.5 – 2 years to complete, full time.
Yes, students can enroll in the program part time.
MSAM/MSCS/MSDS has received approval to accept international students on an F-1 visa category from the Department of Homeland Security. In addition, F-1 nonimmigrant students graduating with an MS in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or Data Science are eligible for the DHS’s STEM OPT program. MSAM/MSCS/MSDS classes are delivered as a combination of online, hybrid, and evening in-seat format.
MSAM/MSCS/MSDS classes are held on weeknight evenings to accommodate the schedules of working professionals.
No, however students who do not have previous coursework in computer programming, statistics, and linear algebra may be recommended to complete transitional coursework prior to enrollment. Applicants will be advised of this recommendation after their applications have been reviewed, and should not hesitate to apply if they do not yet meet the previous coursework requirements.
The minimum GPA required is a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
