Ramapo College’s Badges to Bachelors initiative provides a convenient pathway for law enforcement professionals to earn their undergraduate degree through our Accelerated Degree Completion Program. Our unique flexible structure lets you choose the course format that’s best for you: You can attend 8-week in-person evening courses that meet once a week on our Mahwah campus and are reserved for adult learners. Or you can opt for 15-week fully online courses that allow you to work independently without coming to campus. Both pathways lead to a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Social Science and offer adult-friendly features such as:

The knowledge you’ll gain through courses in sociology, psychology, social work and other social science areas can help you better understand the motivations behind behavior so that you can apply the best approach for a variety of situations. Even the experience of earning a college degree can help you gain a broader perspective in your day-to-day work as a police officer. In turn, that perspective may enable you to be more effective in serving your communities. And earning a bachelor’s degree prepares you for a career after policing, whether in other areas of public service or in a different field altogether.
