This 45-minute workshop will address strategies for annotating and outlining a text. Critical thinking will be emphasized, including discerning author’s purpose, evaluating claims, raising questions, and using prior knowledge in actively working with a text. Register
Sponsored by the Library and the Center for Reading and Writing, this 45-minute workshop will address strategies for evaluating print and news sources, including authority, accuracy, reliability, and timeliness. Fake news, what it is, and tips on how to identify it will also be discussed. All students are welcome. Register
