This 45-minute workshop will address how to develop a thesis statement from the inside out.  Strategies for working with sources and developing ideas that lead to shaping a thesis statement will be discussed. This 45-minute workshop will address how to successfully paraphrase, summarize, and directly quote the sources used when writing papers, articles, presentations, speeches, etc. Plagiarism in its various forms will be defined and discussed, including Ramapo’s policy on academic integrity.
