We realize that there is a lot of information on this webpage!
Here’s a streamlined set of instructions to follow, after reading the full webpage:
There are no corporate intern housing discounts available at this time. The nightly apartment rental rate is the only rate option we offer. This rate applies whether an intern will be staying for as little as two weeks or for the entire available Summer intern housing period (see the timeline for available housing dates).
Payment methods are discussed here.
The per night rental rate (see Cost Info) covers an intern’s access to a shared apartment unit, including individual bedroom and apartment utilities (i.e., water, electric, heat and air conditioning).
With other lodging options, you’ll get nothing like our beautiful campus with the enjoyable experience of a college campus environment with a 24/7 Public Safety presence, internet access, an on-site mailbox, helpful staff, free parking, and much more!
Our interns can also purchase a summer gym membership at the Bill Bradley Fitness Center on-campus for a very low price!
Check-in and check-out process information is available in our Guide to Corporate Intern Housing.
Corporate Interns who received a Housing Confirmation notice via email will be able to see their check-in/check-out information, as well as all intern fees/payment details (see payment methods for available options).
Internet access information can be found here.
Yes. Click here for details about Ramapo College’s guest policy for residents.
Although we have a suggested list of things to bring, there are plenty of stores in the local area that can be utilized for supplies that you do not already have.
All Village apartments come with a full kitchen, and there are several grocery stores nearby for interns to buy and prepare their food. The surrounding area also has a large number of diners and restaurants for those that like to eat out.
Additionally, Corporate Interns typically have access to the Atrium dining facilities. Summer hours for the Atrium are normally Monday through Thursday, from 7:45 AM – 3:00 PM. On campus dining hours and locations are always kept up to date online.
Information about accessing the Bill Bradley Sports and Recreation Center can be found here.
Yes. Intern housing reservations are made from one check-in date to one final check-out date. An intern may not check-in and out multiple times to avoid charges for nights that the intern plans to be away from the apartment. Ramapo College does not have the ability to manage such a system. For interns who prefer more of a “come-and-go” or hotel-style accommodations, we suggest comparing local motel lodging options, which may cost a around $50 per night for a bedroom and bathroom only.
Summer transportation options are kept updated online through the College’s Center for Student Involvement (CSI).
No. Each intern must have a corporate sponsor, whether the company plans to provide financial support for the intern’s housing fees or not.
The corporate contact may be informed of any concerns that the College experiences with the intern. The company also agrees to be responsible for certain financial obligations to the College, in the event that their intern(s) fail to fulfill their financial obligations to the College.
It is highly unlikely that there will be financial concerns due to rent, as each month’s rent is collected in advance.
Cost details for replacing a key/card can be viewed here.
Public Safety is available 24/7, and may be reached at 201-684-7432. Public Safety can contact our staff members on duty in the event of a lockout, and can help address any emergencies.
Cable TV information is available here.
Yes.
To adjust the previously agreed upon check-out date or date of departure, an intern must notify us of the new requested date via email to corpintern@ramapo.edu, no later than July 5, (and at least 14 calendar days prior to the new date of departure) and the intern’s bill will be adjusted for the adjusted period.
Both the intern and the corporate contact will receive a confirmation notice with the adjusted billing information. However, please note that rent payment that has already been deposited for the current and/or previous month(s) are not refunded.
We know that it may be difficult to always plan everything well in advance. Therefore, we allow each intern to request a different date of departure (within available dates), prior to July 5. The $50 processing fee is waived for the initial request.
There will be a $50 processing fee charged to the intern for each additional request and/or any request submitted after July 5 to change their date of departure with prorated billing for an earlier date of departure. Please refer to the timeline for the last day that interns are permitted to remain in housing.
Unfortunately, we are unable to alter the initial check-in date for corporate intern housing, as it is indicated on our timeline, due to Spring semester closing procedures, which include housing condition-assessment, cleaning, addressing maintenance concerns, and preparing for Summer Session housing, Summer Conferences, and Corporate Intern housing. We are unable to make exceptions to these dates.
Unfortunately, the final check-out date as indicated on our timeline cannot be extended, as we need time to prepare all housing assignments for Ramapo College Fall semester housing. We are unable to make exceptions to these dates.
We understand that this may negatively affect some potential and/or actual Summer corporate intern residents.
Some past corporate interns have communicated that they found alternate lodging nearby, after they checked out of housing at Ramapo, because their internships continued long enough to make such plans feasible for them.
