The Theater Program at Ramapo celebrates individuality and is mission driven to provide the highest quality education, training and production experiences for students from all backgrounds. We are dedicated to close mentorship to develop the strengths of individual students, spark their curiosity and provide opportunities for artistic expression. We engage closely with the Film program to foster intense and ongoing collaborations for on screen work which prepare students for real world careers and the pursuit of further training in graduate

Our mission is founded in the Liberal Arts, and is multicultural, international, interdisciplinary,  and experiential as reflected in our curriculum and production season. Students initially engage in all areas of theater: Acting, Design, Technical, Stage Management, Directing, Theater Studies developing a specialized concentration over time. We strive to empower lifelong learners to be engaged citizens, arts advocates, and arts appreciators who positively
