Artist Matthew Jensen’s multi-disciplinary practice combines photography with walking, collecting and rigorous site-specific explorations of landscapes. His projects strive to connect people to places by expanding the traditions of landscape photography to include a range of mediums and actions.

Professor Yolanda del Amo will bring her Black and White Photography class to the Zimmerli Museum at Rutgers University to visit the show “Subjective Objective: A Century of Social Photography”.

Professor Yolanda del Amo’s ARTS 315: Professional Format Photography class will visit the Penumbra Foundation on a field trip where they will be exposed to the early photographic process of the (wet plate) tintype. A tour and demo of alternative processes directly relates to the content of the course and will enhance the learning of the students.

Students of Professor John Peffer’s ARHT 301: Art Since 1945 class as well as students from Professor Ann LePore’s ARTS 335: Business of Visual Arts class will attend The Armory Show, a leading international art fair in New York.

The Armory Show is the leading commercial galleryvart trade fair in New York. Held once a year, hundreds of international galleries exhibit there.

This is a closed event, available only to students of ARHT 301 and ARTS 335.

2016 Schomburg Fellow Sam Kirk and her student collaborators will be informally meeting and greeting the public on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 from 6-7, at the site of the Celebrating Diversity installation in the quad between H,D, and C wings. There will be free snacks and a chance to comment on the art project.  Please stop by to say hello and let us know how you feel about the art!
