This event is open to students enrolled in ARHT 204 ONLY. This semester, students in Professor Gale Berninghausen's Non-Western Art Traditions class are studying the art of Asia. This field trip to will inform and enrich students' understanding of Asian art, history, religions, and cultures.
This is a closed event. New-York based, Award-winning concert pianist Benjamin Hochman will discuss issues relating to performance challenges and tools, technique, efficient practicing, interpreting contemporary music, and career decisions, while playing examples from his repertoire, including a pre-premiere performance of Prof. Gilad Cohen's new piece Circles of Time, supported by Ramapo Faculty Development Fund.

The residency will host the Aizuri Quartet, an award-winning and critically-acclaimed string quartet from New York. This year, the Quartet won the prestigious M-Prize Award, a $100,000 award from the University of Michigan. Professor Mary Ellen Allison and Professor Maria Vail have invited Kevin Sebastian to speak to the Auditioning class and the Advanced Theater Projects class about working in the professional theater, auditioning, and developing a plan. Kevin is a graduate of Ramapo College who has had success working in the professional theater and on television.
This event is open to students enrolled in Capstone Seminar in Music only. Three recent graduates of the Ramapo Music Program who have successful careers in music will speak to the current seniors about entrepreneurship and career development following college.
