By Jose Rivera
Directed by Terra Vandergaw
There’s a war in heaven and things on Earth have gotten really bad. Coffee is extinct, food
tastes like salt, the moon hasn’t been seen for months, and credit card debt is a crime. After a
particularly harrowing commute home, Marisol Perez doesn’t know if she’s dead or alive.
Inspired by Milton’s Paradise Lost, Jose Rivera’s apocalyptic and prophetic urban fantasy has the angels in revolt against a senile god while our heroine attempts to save herself and her loved ones on her own. Winner of the 1993 Obie award, Marisol is a contemporary classic and call to wake up!
