This blistering and poignant prequel to Arthur Miller’s The Crucible takes a close look at the four young girls at the center of the Salem Witch trials, reimagining the world from their perspectives. Monahon’s play creates a powerful counterpoint that highlights the issues of gender and power that are central to Miller’s canonical work, reframing and reclaiming the concept of the “witch hunt.”

The production uses strobe lighting, haze, and loud noises and contains adult language.
