Men’s Soccer celebrated 40 years of victory with players from the 1971 team, the College’s first, other alumni players and current team members on October 15. Coach DJ Pinton ’99 with players present and past.
Alumna Chris Twomey ’76 in the Pascal Gallery at the September 14 opening of her one-person exhibit, “Chris Twomey: Time, Media, and Significance.”Twomey is a New York City artist inspired by themes of origin and identity, incorporating film, performance, installation, digital media and sound into her work.
Professor Michael Fluhr, Keith Cozine ’94 and Professor Cliff Peterson at an on campus lecture about U.S. national security presented September 14. Cozine is a homeland security expert. A panel discussion followed the presentation.

The Bergen County Chapter of the Alumni Association hosted their second annual barbecue on July 7 before the start of the TD Bank Summer Concert Series. After a splendid barbecue under the Pavilion tent, alumni moved to the Band Shell lawn to dance to the tunes of the Bronx Wanderers, a Four Seasons and Dion tribute band. Spectacular fireworks lit the night sky following the concert.
New alumni gathered at Bar Anticipation in Belmar, NJ on July 16 to celebrate the summer and share their not-too-distant memories of Ramapo College. They enjoyed cocktails, music, Ramapo-themed trivia games and each other’s company. A sizzling summer afternoon at the Jersey shore set the mood for this annual event.
Ramapo College’s Alumni Association hosted an Alumni Speed Networking event with seasoned workplace veterans who provided participants with valuable tips including developing effective talking points and navigating the multi-generational workplace.
Alumni ice hockey team coach Art Chill made sure the team followed the rules at the 33rd Annual Alumni Ice Hockey Reunion held April 9 at Sport-O-Rama, Monsey, NY. The team faced off against an alumni team from Fairleigh Dickinson University and won by a score of 4 – 2. The game was followed by a reception in the Trustees Pavilion.
The 3rd Annual Nursing Alumni Brunch was held April 10 at the Trustees Pavilion. Dr. Peter Mercer provided updates about College programs and Cathleen Davey, executive director of the Ramapo College Foundation offered details about the Adler Center for Nursing Excellence. The nurses also received continuing education units (CEU) for participating in a professional education presentation.
Dr. Peter P. Mercer and Dr. Jackie Ehlert-Mercer (center) hosted a regional alumni reunion in Los Angeles. The event attracted alumni from the greater Los Angeles area. Several members of Ramapo’s Board of Trustees were also in attendance.
Jonathan Marcus ’93, assistant general counsel of KPMG and president of the Alumni Association, welcomed KPMG alumni to a luncheon hosted at the company’s Montvale, NJ office on April 26. Information about new campus initiatives was given by Dr. Peter P. Mercer and Cathleen Davey. More than 40 alumni are employed by KPMG.
An Alumni Speed Networking event, held April 26, offered an alumni to alumni evening of professional development. Participants learned valuable tips such as developing effective talking points and navigating the multi-generational workplace from seasoned veterans of the workforce.
The Alumni Holiday Luncheon is an annual event for all alumni who work at Ramapo College. Presently, 261 faculty, staff and adjuncts are employed at the College.
