Directions and Transportation to Ramapo Reservation

As the new academic year begins, we want to make sure that everyone knows how to access the Ramapo County Valley Reservation (also known as the Ramapo Reservation). For more information on this treasured resource minutes from campus, please visit:
https://www.nynjtc.org/park/ramapo-valley-co-reservation

Currently, because of construction on Rt. 202, there is no safe way to walk to the Reservation. Please note the following two options:

1) If you have a vehicle on campus, you can drive yourself following these directions:
• Starting from Ramapo College of New Jersey, turn right onto US-202 N. Travel 1.1 miles.
• Turn right onto W Ramapo Ave. Travel .4 miles.
• Turn right onto Ridge Rd. Travel 1.3 miles.
• Turn right onto MacArthur Blvd. Travel 1 mile.
• Turn right onto Darlington Ave. Travel 1 mile.
• Turn left onto US-202 S. Travel .1 miles.
• The destination will be on your right.

2) For those who need transportation to the Reservation, the Center for Student Involvement (CSI) will be running a shuttle on the following dates:

• Sunday, September 10
• Saturday, September 16
• Sunday, September 24
• Saturday, September 30
• Sunday, October 8

On these dates, the special Reservation shuttle will run on the following schedule, departing from in front of the Bradley Center:

10:00 am Depart Ramapo for Reservation
10:30 am Depart Reservation for Ramapo
11:00 am Depart Ramapo for Reservation
11:30 am Depart Reservation for Ramapo
12:00 pm Depart Ramapo for Reservation
12:30 pm Depart Reservation for Ramapo
1:00 pm Depart Ramapo for Reservation
1:45 pm Depart Reservation for Ramapo

If you do not board the 1:45 pm shuttle to get back to campus, you will need to utilize a taxi, Uber/Lyft, or call a friend to return to campus. CSI and Public Safety cannot provide transportation back to campus should you not board any of the shuttles from the Reservation to Ramapo. These trips and the time at the Reservation are not chaperoned and CSI is only facilitating the transportation. Students are responsible for their own safety.

We hope you all have a happy and safe semester. If you have any questions, please feel free to email csi@ramapo.edu or contact CSI by phone 201-684-7593.
